Designed by French architect Laurent Deroo, descending the small set of stairs to leads to a surprisingly serene space, with tall concrete walls leading to the entrance blocking the majority of the street level noise.
Warped timbers line the floor and run to (and comprise) the ceiling of the interior, while shelving and change rooms are enclosed in softly lit enumerated pods, providing the ambiance of a zen-like spacecraft.
Despite having the smallest selection of the A.P.C. stores in Tokyo, A.P.C. underground carries selected pieces from both the men and women's lines.
